Oregon territory, 1878. Rosa Kovak struggles to put food on her wood plank table. Abandoned by her husband, she forsakes her gypsy culture in favor of a solitary life on her tiny plot of land. But when a greedy land grabber and his gun thugs threaten violence, Rosa must hold her ground with the help of a surly drifter. Yet, it’s Rosa's newfound friendship with a young suffragette and missionary that forever changes the course of her future.
